Culture Trails: Adventures in Travel
This project publishes literary essays, bound as single volumes, that recount the quest for a famous person, event, or experience in the author's cultural heritage. Whereas most travel books focus on a particular place—a country, a city, a region—these volumes take as their first subject the exploration of a cultural experience in history, in art, in religion. The result is a “culture trail” etched out by the author: a path that can actually be followed by a traveler but also a journey to be savored in the imagination, from the comfort of an armchair.
Submission by invitation only.
