Support the Press
The University of Chicago Press is a non-profit publisher, and many of our most significant books are made possible by private giving from generous individuals and foundations. Our books and journals expand knowledge, challenge assumptions, and spark conversations around the world. Your support helps us continue this vital work.
Contributions to the Press enable us to:
- Publish groundbreaking scholarly books that do not recover their costs.
- Launch the development of ambitious large-scale projects.
- Produce especially costly works such as translations and illustrated books.
You can help sustain and further the Press’s legacy in a number of ways: by giving a gift to generally advance our publishing mission. Or, to donate to a particular area or new direction, consider our Endowment Funds. Every contribution helps ensure that important ideas find their way into the world.
My colleagues and I also welcome inquiries about other giving opportunities at the Press, including, but not limited to, the sponsorships of individual books or the establishment of new named funds in an area of the donor’s choice.
We encourage you to read about the history of the Press and thank you for becoming a part of its legacy.
