Crossing Borders, Shifting Boundaries

National and Transnational Identities in Europe and Beyond

The articles in this volume investigate the topic of ethnic, national, and transnational identities. Using a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches, the impact of cross-national migration, changes in political borders, collective memories, the formation of transnational political entities, and the process of cultural, economic, and institutional globalization are discussed. Through these different theories and empirical analyses, this volume offers a multifaceted discussion and new insights concerning the challenging social and political issues of changing collective identities.
