Director, Journals Acquisitions and Publisher
Kari Roane handles all acquisitions for the Journals Division. She manages the proposal, contracting, and initial transition phases for new titles. Kari worked in journals marketing at Taylor & Francis in Philadelphia and in the Conferences and Expositions department of TESOL in Alexandria, Virginia. She has more than twenty years’ experience with journals acquisitions and publication management, first at Taylor & Francis and then at the University of Chicago Press, which she joined 2002.
In addition to publishing journals with the departments and faculty of the University of Chicago, the Press publishes and distributes influential scholarly publications on behalf of learned and professional societies and associations, foundations, museums, and other not-for-profit organizations. We offer a full range of publishing and membership services. Our partners can choose the services that best fit their needs.
