Aloka Parasher Sen is professor emerita in the Department of Sanskrit Studies at the University of Hyderabad. Her books include Seeking History through Her Source: South of the Vindhyas, Conversations with the Animate ‘Other,’ and Gender, Religion and Local History: The Early Deccan.
