Andreas Steck is professor emeritus of neurology at the University of Basel. He was president of the Swiss Neurological Society and a founding member and president of the European Neurological Society. He is the author of numerous publications in scientific journals and is coeditor of the Swiss Archives of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He coauthored with his wife Barbara Steck, Brain and Mind, a book exploring how the brain works.
