Helen Harris Perlman

Helen Harris Perlman (1906-2004) was the Samuel Deutsch Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. She was considered a pioneer in social work education. Her many published works include Social Casework: A Problem-Solving Process; Persona: Social Role and Personality; and Relationship: The Heart of Helping People; and, as editor, Helping: Charlotte Towle on Social Work and Social Casework.
