Nomi Dave
Nomi Dave (PhD, Oxford, 2012) is associate professor of music at the University of Virginia and a former lawyer who has worked in the fields of women’s rights, refugee rights, and immigration law. She is the author of The Revolution’s Echoes: Music, Politics, and Pleasure in Guinea (Chicago, 2019). Her work has appeared in the Journal of Ethnographic Theory, Sound Studies, Africa, The Art of Emergency, Journal of Human Rights Practice, Ethnomusicology, and Poverty and Race.
