About the Author

Wesley Adamczyk (1933-2018) was a chemist and tax consultant who lived in Illinois. His father died in the Katyń Massacre and his mother died in Siberia following their deportation from Poland in 1940. He devoted many years to remembering, investigating, and recording the events of his wartime childhood. He was also a champion bridge player.
