Errol Morris, Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker and author of many books including, most recently, his response to the work of renown philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn in The Ashtray: (Or the Man Who Denied Reality), will engage in several speaking events surrounding the publication of the book.

On Wednesday April 18 at 7:00 pm Morris discusses The Ashtray in an event at the 92Y in New York. See the page for the event at the 92Y website to purchase tickets and for more information.

On the 24th, 7:00 pm Morris will be in attendance at the historic Music Box Theater in Chicago for a discussion of his work, focusing on The Ashtray, as part of the 2018 Chicago Humanities Festival. See the CHF events calendar for tickets.

The San Francisco Bay Area Book Festival will also host Morris for several events including a screening and discussion of his film A Brief History of Time on the occasion of Stephen Hawking's recent passing. (April 27th 5:30 pm)

On Saturday April 28th 3:15 pm Morris joins UC Berkeley professor of mathematics Edward Frenkel for a discussion of The Ashtray.

And on Sunday April 29th at 11:45 am Morris interviews writer Geoff Dyer on his new book on the work of street photographer Garry Winogrand.
