About the Author

Ilya Kabakov is a Russian-born American conceptual artist. He has worked for years in Moscow and now lives and works on Long Island. His work along with that of his wife Emilia Kabakov has been shown in such venues as the Museum of Modern Art, the Hirshhorn Museum, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Documenta IX, at the Whitney Biennial, and the State Hermitage Museum.
