Chicago, IL--The University of Chicago Press in partnership with the International House Global Voices Author Series announces the Great Chicago Book Sale. For two days only—Thursday October 13th and Friday October 14th—hundreds of titles will be sold at incredibly deep discounts.
The sale is open to the public on Thursday October 13 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Special Preview for U of C students, faculty and staff Thursday morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. UC ID required). More than 10,000 books in a variety of subjects—from hard sciences to humanities to fiction and poetry—will be available for purchase. With both hardcovers and paperbacks priced at only $5 per book, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to stock your personal library—or find some unusual gifts for the holiday season. From reference guides to contemporary bestsellers, Beethoven to Mike Royko, this book sale will offer something for everyone. Supplies are limited, so be sure to arrive early for the best selection.
